I’ve wanted to go to a Drive In ever since I watched Grease as a kid. The sexual innuendos went completely over my innocent head, I just thought they all looked really cool strutting around with cool cars. Drive In’s are not a regular occurrence in Scotland though so it’s become one of those wish list things to do and hence made it onto my 35 at 35 list.

One of my 35 at 35 goals was to explore Scotland more. I had long drives north and ferry rides in mind. Turns out there’s lots of adventures to be found close by. We found Carron Valley Reservoir on google maps just 20mins away, so popped Seb in the boot and took a little drive one day last week.

After my awesome party last year we decided on a little getaway for my birthday/new year this year. After much online searching I found the Bridge of Orchy Hotel. A lovely little 4 star hotel, close enough to the central belt we didn’t have to travel for hours but far enough away to take us to the middle of nowhere. They are also extremely dog friendly so little Seb was welcome. Continue reading “For Auld Lang Syne”
A tiny little glimpse of the beauty that is St Andrews in the back ground here. This is my third trip to The Old Course since starting this blog and finally I had a photographer. Unfortunately we had only a small window in between speakers and we didn’t have time to pop to the beach. As usual I ended up a little worse for wear … Continue reading Layering at St. Andrews
Don’t you just love a long holiday weekend? In Glasgow this is our September weekend, which for me means Friday and Monday off work. If I could work Tuesday to Thursday every week I’d be a happy girl. So what to do with an extra day off work? Day trip of course and first thought is always the beach. I packed Seb up in the … Continue reading She was a Day Tripper
Last Sunday we knocked it out the park with our little beach day trip. The beach at Elie is even more gorgeous than we had hoped and the sun came out, who’d have expected that with the summer we’ve had. Nothing beats a day at the beach to clear out the cobwebs and brighten your mood. Throw in the happiest dog, some good friends and … Continue reading Take a Walk on the Beach
Nipping at my nose indeed, and cheeks and ears. It was so cold I needed my overknee socks on under my OTK boots. Lucky I have these cute pink ones which match my skirt. Who says florals are just for summer. It’s seems like all I wear these days are OTK boots, major style crush. I always like it when I can update my wardrobe … Continue reading Jack Frost Nipping at Your Nose
This was pretty much the perfect day. The kinda day you work your ass off all year for. After a long lie and big Scottish breakfast we headed to the beach. Oh and what a gorgeous beach it was, we may not have the warmth in Scotland but we do have the beauty. Lossiemouth beach is nestled on a beautiful green forrest so lucky Seb … Continue reading We Gotta Live For These Days
It’s Sunday and I’m in the midst of a horrific hangover and pile of work to do for tomorrow. That means today’s post will be short and sweet. There’s not a lot that needs to be said in any event. This outfit includes all my favourites for autumn/winter, perfect dress, OTK boots and tartan. Teamed that with my gorgeous boy and this gorgeous sky … Continue reading Through this Iron Sky
Posting is likely to be a little sporadic this week. We’re on a little holiday in the Scottish Highlands and network coverage is pretty much non existent. I think I like having a little break from the constant facebook, Twitter and Instagram updates though. We drove through the gorgeous Cairngorms national park on route to our little cabin and of course stopped to let furry … Continue reading You’ll Take the High Road
