Well Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Hogmanay. It was not surprisingly a quiet one of us this year with our little Christmas getaway and then booze free New Year. I’d have been asleep before midnight if it wasn’t for a wee scardey pup and fireworks that went off for about an hour.

This summer in Glasgow has been another disappointment. Very limited sunshine and when she did show face it was normally on a workday while I was stuck indoors. So I’m now desperately seeking some sunshine, will need to try and squeeze in a little babymoon sometime soon. Any tips on where in the world will still be warm in October/November?

A few weeks ago we took another little trip north out of the city. This time for the Man’s birthday. Just outside of Lochgilphead you find the Kirnan Estate with three self catering cottages and a new log cabin.
No 30 of the 35 at 35 list continued last weekend with a little trip to the Highlands. A long weekend in a log cabin hidden the woods was the perfect setting to relax. Add in the The Man found one with 4G signal and that rain mostly stayed off it was bliss.

This hat, I simply couldn’t resist it at the Scottish Blogger Shop. I loved it when Thankfifi first showed it off but as usual didn’t get round to buying one for myself. It was a total bargain so hardly even counts as breaking my spending ban.
Monday was a sneaky local holiday here in Glasgow. With the sky looking a tad grey though we searched out the sun all the way to the east coast. North Berwick was a new beach for me and Seb and it didn’t disappoint. Sun is what we came for and sun we got, I even got a little sunburned.
