Girl Gotta Have

Balmain-H&M-green-suede-trousers-outfit

You know when you just gotta have something and you get up early and spend the whole day refreshing the web page? Yeah that was me when Balmain x HM went on sale. I had to have those thigh high boots, unfortunately so did everyone else and even with my massive feet they sold out before I could get them in my basket. A close second were these green suede biker trousers. When I finally got on the site they were the only thing left and in my size! This girl gotta have them, it was fate. Legs that go on for Miles and Miles

Long-flares-workwear-outfit

And by that I don’t mean my own, but these Zara flared trousers I picked up in the sale. I’m not exactly short at 5ft 10 but these bad boys have the longest legs I’ve ever come across. These are the highest heels I have and they’re only just off the floor. Perhaps not surprising they were a total bargain in the sale given the limited long limbed ladies that would fit in them.  Continue reading “Legs that go on for Miles and Miles”

An outfit post, at long last! January has been busy busy busy and the weather has been a little bit crazy. I’m so disappointed I missed out on a snowy photoshoot, hey maybe there’ll be another chance, fingers crossed. Continue reading “Like Momma Used to Make”

Short and Sweet

Colour-block-negative-space-nail-art-design

My nails were neglected over new year and ended up broken, short and weak. I thought a simple design might make them look a little longer. The middle fingers were particularly short, hence the central vertical lines. Colour and negative space are always favourites of mine so I adapted these into a varied geometric design.  Continue reading “Short and Sweet”

I’ve Been Here for too Long – Update

Around this time last year whilst feeling a little bit down at getting so old I set myself a 35 at 35 to do list. To manage this I need to complete 5 a year, I didn’t quite hit 5 in 2015 but made a good start.  Continue reading “I’ve Been Here for too Long – Update”

Ghost

So the New Year has got off to a busy and stressful start. What do I need to get me through this month, kick ass tunes preferably from some strong females. Enter Tkay Maidza, singer and rapper from Australia.  Continue reading “Ghost”

For Auld Lang Syne

Bridge-of-Orchy-hotel-Scottish-new-year-break

After my awesome party last year we decided on a little getaway for my birthday/new year this year. After much online searching I found the Bridge of Orchy Hotel. A lovely little 4 star hotel, close enough to the central belt we didn’t have to travel for hours but far enough away to take us to the middle of nowhere. They are also extremely dog friendly so little Seb was welcome.  Continue reading “For Auld Lang Syne”

Breathing in Snowflakes

These are my Christmas Day nails. I went a little more wintery than Christmassy as I figured they’d last till New Year. Snowflakes aren’t just for Christmas right?  Continue reading “Breathing in Snowflakes”

Those Christmas lights, Light up the Street

Camel-coat-OTK-boots-Christmas-outfit

Christmas shopping is officially finished. Yip I fought for a parking space, braved the crazy crowds and picked up not only the rest of my presents but my mans as well. I know good girlfriend points galore for me. I have to say I now feel majorly festive. Despite people shoving and long queues in sweltering stores, all the twinkly lights just have that effect on me.  Continue reading “Those Christmas lights, Light up the Street”
