So the New Year has got off to a busy and stressful start. What do I need to get me through this month, kick ass tunes preferably from some strong females. Enter Tkay Maidza, singer and rapper from Australia. 

Tkay is only 19 and already going down a storm in Oz. As an Aussi female rapper there are a lot of comparisons with Azealia Banks, not a bad thing or disliked, but this girl has a style of her own. And a good idea of what she wants to be for one so young, she’s not one to leta label mould her into something she’s not – “It just inspired me to be weird. You don’t have to do what everyone else is doing, basically.”

This track isn’t exactly new, it’s been about since November last year. It’s an absolute belter though, that hook catches you and makes you want to dance. The EP Switch Tape should be added to you Apple Music immediately.
