For Auld Lang Syne

Bridge-of-Orchy-hotel-Scottish-new-year-break

After my awesome party last year we decided on a little getaway for my birthday/new year this year. After much online searching I found the Bridge of Orchy Hotel. A lovely little 4 star hotel, close enough to the central belt we didn’t have to travel for hours but far enough away to take us to the middle of nowhere. They are also extremely dog friendly so little Seb was welcome.

I’d recommend taking one of the new rooms behind the hotel if you have a dog. The little patio and decking is perfect for little doggys and the rooms are designed really well and finished to a high standard.

There’s something quite lovely about a traditional New Year, good food, ceilidh band, and plenty of booze of course. The snow even started to fall after midnight, just a little bit romantic. A brisk walk up the snow capped hills the next day really clears away the hangover too.

Hope you all had a lovely New Year. I’m making no resolutions this year just pressing on with my 35 at 35, this little break helping out a little more with no. 30. What resolutions have you made?
