I meant to post this yesterday in advance of New Year’s Eve, I was a little caught up in airports though and forgot. Oh well today will have to do, it is wed-nails-day after all. At least I think it is, I’ve not quite got my head around the time difference yet!
New Years called for sparkles but I wasn’t sure what I would be wearing when I painted these. I figured you can’t go round with black and gold and I was right. They set off my new Rebecca Torres dress lovely.
I simply painted my nails black then added the glitter. I used a little nail brush to create the ombré effect. Top tip is to apply little at a time to stop the clear polish with the glitter getting too thick.
Hope you all had a wonderful New Year’s Eve. I had a quiet one as I was ridiculously tired after all my flights. Still, dinner with my family, outdoors in the warm Brisbane city and a couple drinks to celebrate ‘the bells’ was lovely.
Your nails look amazing 🙂 https://www.facebook.com/lovethisthread
I love this effect, tried it myself before – it’s not as easy as it looks haha
Just takes a bit if practice chick 🙂
Happy New Year! It sounds like you had a nice one even if it was quiet, hope it’s a good year for you 🙂 Also, love the nails & the ombre effect, very pretty!
It was really lovely, hope you have a good year too!
Love this! So effective, I might try with gel polish so that all the effort doesn’t get chipped after a couple of days!

I always use gel polish, you’re right too much effort for normal polish to chip right away
Love the look of the ombre effect on nails. Not sure if I can do it on myself, but now I definitely want to give it a try:)
You should, it’s easier than it looks
