Without getting into detail of boring work I’m now social convenor for the Dumbarton Faculty. This is not as easy task as there are over a hundred people of varying ages and tastes.
We have a tradition of a curry night around March each year. This was my first event to organise. I choose Bukhara an Indian restaurant in Glasgow which is attached to the Lorne Hotel.
The evening was a success I’m pleased to say. The restaurant itself is lovely. The decor is very trendy and it’s well set out allowing you space and privacy from other diners. The staff are really friendly and helpful. Sohail helped me organise everything and was very patient with my various changes and questions.
Now I’m not a lover of curry, I can’t handle spicey food. I was a little worried as I was told the main courses are on the spicy side. I had nothing to worry about though the food was gorgeous. I had chosen banquet style dining which means a selection of starters and mains are brought to the table, I figured this would be easier than having everyone choose from the menu. There was a great selection and seemed like food was constantly being brought to the table.
After dinner we retired to the hotel bar Bilberry which serves amazing cocktails
Most importantly though, what did I wear! You may have seen my tweet earlier this week about by new monochrome!
I couldn’t wait to wear it. I really love the embellishment on the shoulder. I thought if add a little pop of colour with my shoes. I got some stunning pink courts from my friend Ros for Christmas. I’m not normally a fan of pink but love this hot pink shade. I added some sparkle with this clutch another present, aren’t I lucky
