A New One Just Begun

Well Happy New Year everyone, hope you all had a lovely Christmas and Hogmanay. It was not surprisingly a quiet one of us this year with our little Christmas getaway and then booze free New Year. I’d have been asleep before midnight if it wasn’t for a wee scardey pup and fireworks that went off for about an hour.
2018 is now upon us, I’m hoping it doesn’t go as fast as 2017 as I still can’t believe we’re in January already. 2017 was a strange year; in some ways it was wonderful, some surprising and a bit daunting and others just awful. It’s difficult to cope with the contrasting emotions of creating a whole new person while simultaneously saying goodbye to someone you love. Thats probably enough to deal with without throwing in a job promotion too. I hate to use the cliched analogy of a rollercoaster but that what 2017 was, very X factor I know – promise I won’t talk about a journey.

2018 is going to be a whole different kinda of adventure with the arrival of our little one in a few weeks. So no resolutions from me this year, I just plan on enjoying every second of it; ok maybe not the sleepless nights and poo explosions, let’s hope they’re a minimum.
