During our little Italian adventure we each had something we were looking forward to more than anything else, for me it was the Opera. For the man, in stereotypical man fashion, cars. Not just any cars though, Ferrari’s. Lucky for me I have a little penchant for a fast car too.
Ferrari was born in Maranello which is only an hour from Bologna. We got the train from Bologna to Modena and then a taxi. I think there’s bus trips that take you out to the museum as well as the taxi was a wee bit pricey. We probably picked the worse weekend to go though being the Monza Grand Prix. No bumping into the other apparently more famous Seb then.
The museum is pretty cool, cars from every era and a few concepts as well. The F1 hall of fame with all of Schumacher’s winning cars is pretty impressive too. You can go on a factory tour as well but we choose not too. There’s also a load of little shops where you can hire a Ferrari for an hour.
Maranello is not the pretty of towns and it seems to be one of those places that is built around the factory. If you like Ferrari or Formula 1 it’s worth a visit to the place you hear talked about so much.
I think these might be the only outfit shots I convinced the man to take all holiday. And only because we had a spare 20mins back in Bologna before the train to Rome.

Mine certainly did
Ferrari is such an amazing looking car. My husband does not care for cars, I guess that is good for our budget. 🙂 I on the other hand would love to see a Ferrari place. How nice you got to visit the Ferrari town. 🙂

Thanks for sharing this with us. My husband and two sons would love a trip to see these cars. It looks like a great place to stop at while in Italy even though it’s not the most pretty place to visit.
