Been a particularly busy Monday, so late again with new music Monday, better late than never though. One good thing about packing and unpacking is plenty of time to listen to some new music.

I like to think I have an eclectic taste on music. My parents have very different but equally excellent musical tastes and I think this is where it stems from. Today’s choice is definitely from my mothers side.

You could be forgiven for thinking Kyan was the next big thing thrust on us from Def Jam or Roc-A-Fella. He could slot in easily beside Frank Ocean or John Legend. This guy though is from Cambridge and writes and records his music in his bedroom.

His voice is like velvet, so smooth I could listen to him sing anything I think. The songs are r’n’b with a strong poppy feel. There are a few with a much more emotional and dramatic feel which really show off the talent he has, Sometimes, featured below is my favourite.
