Happy Bank Holiday, hope most of you have had the day off like me. I’d forgotten about this sneaky little one at the end of May so it was a pleasant surprise last week.

It’s Monday, it’s January and it’s cold and cloudy; does it get anymore depressing than that? Want a kick ass tune to get you through today? Thought so, enter Harlea.
Ray BLK is another super cool female soloist I have instantly fallen in love with. With velvet vocals and catchy beats she’s always gonna create good tracks. What makes her great is the honest realism in her lyrics, mainly about life in South London.

I came across Esco Williams via BBC Introducing, just as the name suggests it introduces you to lots of unsigned artists. I heard this track on Greg James show but ive since found this amazing live version from Reading a Festival this year. Esco is from Liverpool, he may be young but he is already a dynamic artist. He has the sound of old Skool … Continue reading Oh Jordan
What do we know about LANY? Not a lot, above is the only photo I could find and you can’t even see their faces. They’re three guys from LA who made an impressive debut with their previous singles Walk Away and Hot Lights. They are back now with two acronym named songs, gotta get down with the kids folks. This one is my favourite, I’m … Continue reading ILYSM
Quick little new music Monday today as in super busy and didn’t write it up over the weekend. Young War aka Thom Stone is a singer/songwriter from Manchester. He creates fabulously smooth and warm R’n’B songs, quiet a step away from the pop R’n’B which floats the charts these days. He has now released a debut EP Rose Gold which is pretty damn good. It’s … Continue reading Say That It’s Love
Been a particularly busy Monday, so late again with new music Monday, better late than never though. One good thing about packing and unpacking is plenty of time to listen to some new music. I like to think I have an eclectic taste on music. My parents have very different but equally excellent musical tastes and I think this is where it stems from. Today’s … Continue reading Bad Science
