Like a Bat Out of Hell

Halloween-nail-art-skull-bats

Halloween is upon us and I love it! Last year I completely missed out on the festivities so I’m making up for it this year. Sunday was spent, painting my nails, picking a costume and carving pumpkins!

First up is the finger nails. Little bit of skulls, little bit of bats, little bit of beetlejuice. A hint to my costume and super easy; as long as you have a steady head.

I started with the skull, painting it with a dotter tool in three steps you can see below. Next up those little bats. These are a bit trickier; my tip is don’t stress too much about the outline, once you fill it in you can get away with a multitude of sins believe me. Finish with the stripes, potentially the most difficult if you don’t have a steady hand. My tip, be bold and draw the lines fast with a brush not a solid tool.

What do we think? Tomorrow I have my toe nails to share, yip they got Halloween treatment too.
