The Decemberists seemed an appropriate choice for today. It was either them or a Christmas song and I’m feeling it’s still a touch earlier for that.

These guys are a five piece indie folk band from America. I found this track browsing the new indie track playlist on Spotify. I admit the name drew me in.

It reminds me of 90’s indie, all melancholy but catchy at the same time. It’s the kind of track you expect as the backing music to some grand conclusion to an episode of Dawson’s Creek or Party of Five. Showing my age there, it’s a good thing though.
