Last Tuesday I was invited along to Vita Liberata’s Edinburgh event in the Scotsman hotel.

I have to admit I hadn’t heard of this brand before, even though I’m a big fake tanner. It was a great event, the location was lovely and the Vita girls were so friendly and helpful. It was great to get some advice on how to use the different products and general tips on tanning. I found out loads I didn’t know, like using unperfumed moisturiser and cleaning products can help prolong your tan as they don’t have ingredients that can strip the tan away.

The brand is a bit of a favourite with celebs already and it’s easy to see why. It is completely organic and toxin free, nice to know in a world where we are bombarded with chemicals. All the products are also odourless, yes really no fake tan smell. I can vouch this as I was lucky enough to get a spray tan on the night. A feature I really liked was that this tan fades like a natural one. I hate that patchy skin you get or the white triangles around your joints; one week on I can confirm I had neither of these just a gradual all over natural fade.

There are a wide range of products on offer, everything you need for tanning from exfoilators and prepping lotions, self tanners tans and skin finishers. Two I particularly liked where the unique Phenomenal 2-3 week tan and Capture the Light skin finishers The skin finishers available in four shades and can be used with or without tan. I got a sample of both of these and am excited to try them. I can see Capture the Light becoming my go to product for beautiful skin on a night out.

The Scotsman’s Spa is gorgeous, everything you would expect and want. I couldn’t help but get a couple of shots in the awesome swing chair before I left, my new avatar I think.
