I heard Izzy Bizu on Zane Lowe last week and instantly fell in love. I had to get my phone out to Shazam the radio to make sure I didn’t forget her name. This girl is only 18 and hails from London. Her musical influences range from Ella Fitzgerald and Betty Swan to Amy Winehouse, not surprising then that she has beautiful jazzy soulful voice.

She gained attention in February this year after playing at ILUVLIVE open mic. She won over the crowd and the night and since performed at later ILUVLIVE’s. She has just recorded an acoustic EP, Coolbeanz which you can get on iTunes. It features this song along with five others. This and Fools Gold are particular favourites of mine. Each song is simple with just piano, guitar or keyboard backing her amazing vocals, I must say with vocals like her’s you don’t need anything else.
