I have a bit of a love hate relationship with Vogue. I love those glossy pages filled with beautiful photos and amazing outfits. I hate that I can’t afford anything in it. Even the high street items are rarely under the £100 mark. But hey we all want what we can’t have right?
Wrong! I’ve decided to do a regular post taking outfits from vogue and styling them using high street alternatives. Where better to start than with this months cover girl, Mrs Carter herself.
This one is simple, just a skirt and top. The originals are from Jonathan Saunders and total over £1000. My version is under £20.
I found this fantastic skirt on boohoo and it’s on sale, only a tenner.
This top is from missguided and is only £6.99, bargain.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to find anywhere that sells abs like Beyonce’s. Can’t have everything I guess.
I love this idea of making this a series – I’ll definitely be reading 😉
Ooh gret idea love this! Totally agree with you re the love hate thing with Vogue it can be annoying! x
Love your concept. I don’t buy the likes of Vogue anymore because I just can’t afford the stuff. I actually prefer your outfit as I love the high neck on the top and darker colour on the skirt and less the black elastic waist which you know would dig in! Alas it’s a shame about the abs as without those I can’t pull off the top!
