The Winner Takes it All

Bafta’s last night and I’m glad to say I managed to see most of it before my bf made me change the channel. I’m so glad Ben Affleck won for Argo, it’s such a brilliant film. I really liked his speech too, touching and inspiring.
We all know what we really watch for is to see the dresses though! There was a few I really liked but my stand out favourite was Marian Cotillard’s canary yellow Dior Couture gown.

It’s absolutely beautiful. The colour is amazing, really stands out. I love the mesh detail as well, it’s not been mentioned much in the media but I like the sexy edge it adds to the dress.

I also loved Jennifer Lawrence strapless Dior gown. I think, good on her for keeping her coat on on the red carpet. It’s freezing here! And it was pouring rain and the dress must of cost a fortune lol!

It is so simple but has beautiful sequin embellishments. I’m not a fan of her hair do though, I don’t like a slicked back look on anyone.

My third fav is Paloma Faith. She is Well known for her quirky fashion sense, but her Nicholas Oakwell gown, was just gorgeous. It’s unusual but not crazy like some of her outfits. The embellishments are simply amazing and it’s sexy without flashing all her skin.

Couple of others I really liked were Gemma Arterton’s nude and black striped asymmetric gown.

And I think Laura Whitmore, a UK TV presenter, far outshone SPJ’s jumpsuit in plunging Alexandre Vauthier.

What did you think of the outfits?
