The soundtrack to this weekend was classic soul, Al Green, Stevie Wonder and the like. While endulging in the smooth retro tracks I came across Kiah Victoria. Kiah hails from NYC with an assertiveness to her vocals which belies her 24yrs. 

First I came across her track, I Ain’t Going Nowhere which instantly grabbed my attention with the soulful vocals over a dance beat. When I heard Hollow, I realised this girl is not a one hit wonder.

Hollow was written in the wake of the Paris terror attack. And although beginning with dark synth beats, it builds to a uplifting chorus. Encapsulating exactly the kind of emotion that’s needed after such a horrific event. Definitely one to watch.

Her soulful cover of All of Me is also worth a listen too.
