Friday saw the release of the self titled Viola Beach album. Most of you will know the band tragically died along with their manager in a car accident in Sweden earlier this year. 

The album is a collection of songs they had recorded prior to their deaths. The release of the album is a fitting tribute to the band which appeared to be on the cusp of breaking through. The sun soaked indie tracks are the perfect summer soundtrack.

This track can’t help but have a sense of poignancy to it now, particularly with the posthumous release of the animated video. Though I have seen others comment that the band wrote music to make people happy, so we should listen to this and smile rather than dwell on the tragedy.
