In Scotland we don’t appear to be getting a summer this year, so all the sunshine filled holiday tracks on the radio are getting a starting to grate just a little. Then I came across this beautiful little track from Hazel English, apparantly not her real name nor is she English.
There’s lots of chat of how this is full of summer and beachy vibes. I can see where their coming from there’s a wistfullness to that chorus which is so often a feature of summer tracks. For me though it conjures a dull rainy day as seen in so many 90’s indie music videos, and there’s a definite 90’s indie feel to this track. Just me?
Regardless it’s getting me through another dull Monday, enjoy.
