The Night VI crept onto my radar earlier this year with their single Sienna. I’m not entirely sure why I didn’t feature them as I instantly loved it. Anyway they released a new track Drops last week, a cover of the Jungle track, and popped back into my head so I though better late than never.

This little Anglo-French six piece have been on the go for three years now and create wonderfully melodic romantic tracks. Their EP, Thinking of You, not surprisingly garnered significant acclaim.

Sienna is a song about past relationships and is one if those tracks everyone can relate to a little bit. It is wonderfully heartbreaking but concludes with an air of realisation and almost hope for the future. With a far more upbeat track than you first expect it’s a beautiful tune. Drops shows these guys can do no wrong. They have made the track entirely their own with Sophie-Rose Harper’s Exquisite vocals at the forefront.

Fair to say I’m in love with these guys.
