I found this gorgeous song online last week and since I’ve been trying to find out more about the artist. Well, I found very little. The song is the debute of Mononoke a Liverpudlian singer and comes ahead of her debute EP Jack, out next year.

A metaphor of Alice in Wonderland the video features clips from the 1903 film version of the book. The song is hauntingly beautiful, telling a story of a woman stuck in a bad relationship. Mononoke’s vocals are enchanting and add is almost like the voice of your best friend giving you advice. The line ‘down the rabbit hole he left you alone, you call that love’ gets me every time.
