Last night I made it to the first event in the Somewhere to store since the opening. The fashion pop up is open till Sunday and has some amazing stuff.
I fell in love with Allenomis designs. Annalisa described how she styled a structured vest which you can customise. The vest has button embellishments around the sleeves and waist which look great in themselves. These buttons are used to attach peplums, skirts and sleeves using these buttons and transform the item. The whole collection was stunning. She uses sustainable fabrics too which are just gorgeous.
I also loved the Hardwear clothing collection. I got chatting to Holly the designer, she makes all the items and hand screen prints the designs too. Remarkably they will offer a made to measure service for no extra charge. The chervon design of the two tone items is flattering and the prints are really unique. My favourite item was a gorgeous oversized wool cardigan with horses embroidered in the pockets (thankfully for my bank balance this wasn’t in my size). I may have to pick this up though, will be perfect for autumn.
Since we’re now in this intermediary phase as summer ends and autumn begins; I’m mixing my trends. Little monochrome top and my new favourite, kilt inspired skirt. This skirt is a few years old now, it is true if you keep your clothes long enough they come back into fashion.
