On Wednesday I attended the opening of Munro’s bar in Glasgow’s westend. I went along with my friend Roz and her husband from olivedragonfly . The bar itself is trendy and welcoming. The back bar looks cool with bottles on display and the place has lots of cosy corners and a beautiful real fire. It’s the kinda place you can be comfortable in and just relax.
The pub prides itself on its craft beer and cask ale. The invite said the food and drink would be flowing and it most definitely was. I’m not a big fan of beer but I tasted all four of the beers available.
They were all unique and flavoursome. The bar offers craft tasters, which give you a third of three different beers, good way to try them out.
The food was delicious, platters, chicken wings, burgers, pizza. It never seemed to be finished with waitresses constantly bringing more. The staff even put together a separate wrap for my friend Wendy who has allergies.
We all had a great night, the bar had a really nice atmosphere and the staff were lovely. Check out Wendy’s heels, I loved them.
I went along straight from the office so didn’t have a lot of time to change. I pulled out an old favourite top, I really do run faster in heels, and some jeans. I mixed it up by cramming in all the animal prints and fabrics I could find in my wardrobe; crocodile skin belt, leopard print heels and snakes print clutch.
Looks like fun!
