Short, simple and stunning. I love these nails. I don’t know why I don’t use this deep navy more often as it is such a sumptuous colour. The little gold dotted design works perfectly with it too. There’s some quite Egyptian or Indian about this design I feel.

There’s been a couple dry days, the sun has peeked out and it’s even been warm on a few occasions. In Glasgow this counts as Spring. Of course I had to go for some bright Spring like nails to encourage the seasons along.

I was criticised for my purple nails, they clashed with my engagement ring apparently. Not that I’m one to bother about clashing colours or patterns but I thought I’d go for something simple to show off my ring.

These are my mermaid nails, aren’t they fab? Glitter is a sure fire way to cheer a girl up and after a long day at work and another to follow, cheering up I needed. My nails were neglected over new year and ended up broken, short and weak. I thought a simple design might make them look a little longer. The middle fingers were particularly short, hence the central vertical lines. Colour and negative space are always favourites of mine so I adapted these into a varied geometric design.
