Naromode is another amazing Scottish design brand which I’m in love with. The creatives behind the brand Anna Thorn and Iain MacDonald, I first met at a Bold Souls event last year. I instantly fell in love with their beautiful hand drawn prints influenced by stories and books. The duo start the design process with a story that inspires them both, their first collection being inspired by White Snake and new collection by Snow White. Naromode select the orginal Brother’s Grimm tales adding an extra layer of intrigue to the designs.
Earlier this year they launched screen printed cotton tees with designs from the White Snake collection. I somehow have yet to get my hands on one but I love the ‘duck’ tee. Now finally a full collection is available on their website full of the beautifully bright digitally printed designs onto high quality fabrics like chiffon and silk. The collection is varied with tops, dresses and even shorts. I am in love with the maxi skirts. With no two peices being the same Iain MacDonald advses ‘Everybody will have their own individual piece of the story.’ I can’t wait to get my hands on my piece.
