A late one, but its been a busy day folks. They say you learn something new everyday and maybe you’ll get your fix from today’s new music Monday. I love Cosmo Sheldrake’s new track The Moss. It opens with the line ‘legend has it that the moss grows on the north side of the tree’ and continues to provide a series of random facts in the the most melodic way possible.

Sheldrake is quite a young man. He plays a multitude of instruments including  keyboard, double bass and accordion. He is also a songwriter and producer. He’s been a busy boy composing music for film and theatre whilst touring with a variety of bands as well as solo.

His music is a combination of funky melodies created by some of those 30 instruments he plays and very clever lyrics. Great little upbeat track for a dull Monday.
